Recognizing the importance of prayer, Russian Baptist pastors have decided to begin a new prayer emphasis in Sverdlovskaya Oblast. Each Friday will have a different focus, and believers are urged to fast and pray, particularly for the weekly focus, during the course of the day. On the first Friday of the month believers will pray for the oblast church leadership, for vision and direction from God. During the second Friday of the month, they will lift up oblast pastors and their families, people serving in leadership positions within the churches, and future pastors and leaders. The third Friday of the month will focus on all the churches and church members, ministries and ministry points, and all those involved. Finally, on the fourth Friday of the month, they will pray for Russia, for Sverdlovskaya Oblast, for each county and each city of the oblast, for all government leaders in each of those areas, and for all the lost in each geographic region. Join us in prayer! (posted 09.28.09)
