It has been four years in development, but the very first Baptist rehabilitation center in the oblast is opening its doors. Although there are still repairs that need to be made and furniture and other things that need to be bought, God has blessed this ministry with a small home that was given to serve as a center and enough resources to start work. The ministry leadership hopes to physically and spiritually help those who find themselves in despair and trouble. The center will be available not only to alcoholics and those struggling with drug addictions, but also to people coming out of prison who are in need of social rehabilitation. Please join us in praying for the center and for all those who need rehabilitation. Pray also for George, a local pastor who leads the ministry of the center, as he takes the Good News to those in need.   (posted 09.28.09)
