Team SOAR has begun a weekly time of ministering at a local shelter for homeless children. At present, we are seeking to build relationships with these precious children and have done relational activities such as decorating Easter eggs, making cookies, and playing games. Future plans include helping them plant a garden on the shelter territory and preparing a place for a potential children’s playground. The shelter is run by Andrei and Natasha Ivanov, who work for Mission Possible, a local ministry of social rehabilitation for homeless. Ages of those at the shelter range from 7 months to 17 years. (posted 04.25.10)
